After a week filled with Russell Wilson rumors, the Chicago Bears finally added a quarterback on Tuesday, except it was not the former Super Bowl champion.
Instead, the Bears agreed to sign veteran Andy Dalton to a one-year, $10 million deal, with another $3 million in incentives.
The way things stand at the moment, Dalton will be heading into training camp to compete for the starting job alongside Nick Foles.
This is not quite what Bears fans were expecting, so naturally, there was a pretty strong reaction to the news on social media Tuesday evening, with former Bears linebacker Lance Briggs probably summing it up best.
The rest of social media felt similar, whether it was Bears fans themselves or other fans mocking the team.

Everyone: You can’t downgrade from Trubisky.

There was at least one fan doing everything he could to stay optimistic, though.
