DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - As expected, Dallas Mavericks assistant coach Jamahl Mosley will exit the franchise and will become the next head coach of the Orlando Magic, according to multiple reports.
Mosley will receive a four-year deal, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Sunday.

Mosley was expected to get a real shot at the vacancy left by former Mavs coach Rick Carlisle following his departure for the Indiana Pacers job after 13 seasons in Dallas. However, the tide turned rather quickly in the direction of former Mavs NBA Championship point guard Jason Kidd, who ultimately won out.
Mosley will have his work cut out for him in his first head coaching opportunity as the Magic are in full-on re-building mode after they traded away Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier.
The 42-year-old is known as a great developmental coach, so this appears to be a perfect fit.
