Former pitcher and MLB Network analyst Dan Plesac had an unfortunate hot mic moment on Tuesday.

Luckily for Plesac, he’s no Thom Brennaman.

The former pitcher, who spent 18 seasons in the majors, was talking to the MLB Tonight crew about pitching against Reggie Jackson when co-host Greg Amsinger informed him that they were “not on the air” so Plesac could tell the uncensored version.

“He was still the only guy that when he walked into the box, I’m like, ‘God damnit, I made it,’” he said. “Swear to God. I was like, ‘I made it.’ Like f---ing Reggie!”

The only problem was that Plesac was indeed on the air.

Plesac seemed to have fun with it, though.

As the show teased the no-hitter in progress from Tigers pitcher Spencer Turnbull, the ex-pitcher tweeted “I’m no ‘f’ing’ kidding when telling his audience to tune in to watch the final inning.

Needless to say, this was a much more humorous hot mic situation than last year’s, when Cincinnati Reds announcer Thom Brennaman was caught uttering a homophobic slur and was forced to leave the broadcast mid-game, leading to what became a very viral apology.
