The NBA slate features eight games, so today’s player prop pool has many ballers to choose from. The marquee game is Nets-Clippers, which should be a fun one if the stars suit up. Los Angeles is currently favored by 6.5 points and the total is set to 235.5, so we should see plenty of points in that game.

As for betting tips, player props are a fun way to wager on NBA games even if you don't like a side or total. I like to find matchups that I can exploit or good situations due to injuries.

Let’s dive into a couple of these scenarios now.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 1.5 made threes

SGA comes into this matchup averaging 1.9 threes made a game on 4.9 attempts. He’s also shooting 38.4 percent from three, but that number has gone up to 41.7 percent over his last ten games. I like that he’s improving from 3 and the volume is there. SGA has also hit 2 or more threes in five straight games.

Today he faces the perfect team to keep that three-ball streak going. The Cavs are 22nd in threes allowed and 30th in opponent’s three point percentage. That means he’ll get plenty of good looks to hit his mark in this matchup.

Nikola Vucevic UNDER 25.5 points

Vucevic is coming off one of his best games of the season, which is why I see some value in the under in this spot. The Magic big man is averaging 23.6 points per game (PPG) on the year and that number dips to 22.9 per game at home.

Detroit’s defense has slightly improved as of late and they are up to 13th in blocks. They’ll have some length to throw at Vucevic in this matchup. The total of 210 is also the lowest on the board, mostly due to the Magic who play at a slower pace than most teams (23rd in the NBA).

I have him scoring in the 22-23 point range, so I like the number.

Zion Williamson OVER 24.5 points

I know people are a little “Zion’d out” from the media coverage of him the last few years, but I’m surprised he isn’t getting more hype. Williamson is shooting 62 percent from the field and his field goal percentage is an insane 69.6 percent over his last ten games. He is dominating games in almost a Shaq-like way and his points aren't just off of dunks.

Zion comes into today averaging 25 PPG and that number has gone up to 27.6 per over his last ten games. The Celtics are in the top-10 of a lot of defensive categories, but Zion will be able to do work in transition and take Boston’s bigs out to the perimeter.

I’m going to ride the hot hand here. The total set to 233 points, which I envision Zion contributing to greatly.
