We have a nine-game NBA slate tonight featuring a couple of fun matchups including Hawks-Mavericks and Pacers-Nets.
Player props are a fun way to wager on NBA games even if you don't like a side or total. I like to find matchups that I can exploit or good situations due to injuries, and we have both of those scenarios today. Be sure to check back daily for our top NBA player prop bets.
Here are my four favorites:
Luka Doncic over 47.5 points, rebounds, and assists
Luka Doncic over 28.5 points
Doncic comes into this game averaging a near triple-double, with 27.8 points per game (PPG), 8.7 rebounds per game, and 9.3 assists per game. And, his scoring average over the last ten games has gone up to 29.2 PPG.
Averages are one thing, but tonight’s matchup is a juicy one for the MVP candidate. Atlanta will be without their best wing defender in De’Andre Hunter. With Hunter going down and Bogdan Bogdanovic still out, this is a Hawks team that is ripe for the picking.
The Hawks started the season off better defensively than last year, but with Hunter out, there is some value here. When these two teams matched up last, Doncic put up a 27/8/14 line. I see Luka going off and getting a triple double tonight, so I like both props in this spot.
Domantas Sabonis over 21.5 points
The Nets have three of the most offensively skilled players on the planet, so naturally, offense has not been a problem for them. They rank third in offensive rating and first in scoring since forming their big three with James Harden. Their defense on the other hand, well that’s another story.
The Nets are 27th overall in defensive rating, are giving up a league-worst 123.8 points per game, and rank dead last in defensive rating in the 13 games with Harden on the team.
They also have no rim protector, which means Sabonis should feast tonight. The Pacers big man comes into this matchup averaging 21 PPG and tonight isn’t the night he is going to slow down.
Luguentz Dort under 14.5 points
Dortz is scoring 11.5 PPG and scored 8 points the last time these two teams matched up. He’s also played three games at the Staples Center, where he averaged 10 PPG.
While I love Dortz defensively, I don’t see him eclipsing 15 points tonight, especially against a strong Lakers team that is second in points allowed and first in three pointers allowed defensively per Lineups.com.
