The NBA on Monday announced that leaguewide coronavirus testing had produced zero positive cases in the past week.

Nearly 350 players were tested during the seven-day period beginning July 13 at the league's quarantined campus at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the league and the players association announced.

The zero positives was an improvement over the previous period, when two out of about 322 players tested positive. The NHL similarly reported only two cases in roughly 800 tests conducted over the past week at its various practice hub sites.

The NBA is scheduled to resume the suspended 2019-20 campaign beginning July 30. Scrimmages were set to begin this week.

The league has reportedly maintained strict protocols since the bubble got underway, enforcing a 10-day quarantine for Kings center Richaun Holmes when he left the campus to pick up takeout. The league also created a hotline for players to report violators.

The effectiveness of quarantine efforts by professional sports leagues remain in contrast to the overall response in the US, which is seeing surges in some regions while others pause or begin slowly reopening.
