(CBS Sports Radio) That's two starts – and two wins – for Lamar Jackson, who may have supplanted Joe Flacco as the Baltimore Ravens' starting quarterback.
"There's no way they can go back to Joe Flacco at this point," NFL on CBS analyst Jason La Canfora said on "Ferrall on the Bench."
"The locker room is sold on what they're doing now. They've rolled up close to 800 total yards and 500 rushing yards alone the last two weeks."
Indeed, the Ravens (6-5) had lost three straight and four of five when Flacco was forced to miss time with a hip injury. Jackson, a first-round pick, averaged 164 passing yards and 73 rushing yards in wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders.
The Ravens rushed 96 times for 509 yards and three touchdowns in those games.
"They have an identity now on offense," La Canfora said. "They have a focus. They have a physical mentality that they've been lacking for a long time – and what they don't have is playmakers in the passing game. Joe Flacco is not going to make Willie Snead any better. He's not going to make Michael Crabtree any better. He's not going to make John Brown any more than a guy who catches one deep ball a month but otherwise is fairly pedestrian.
"They are what they are, and they've been what they've been for six years now," La Canfora said. "There's no going back. Lamar Jackson is the present and the future of the Baltimore Ravens offense, and they need to play him as much as possible."
La Canfora said any number of teams could be interested in Flacco, including the New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Ravens (6-5) will go for their third straight win this Sunday in Atlanta (4-7). Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
