Patrick Mahomes has long said he has his eyes on Tom Brady’s Super Bowl victories and he’s already joining the GOAT in the playoff record books.
After Mahomes connected with Tyreek Hill in the first quarter of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, it marked a combination of 10 passing and rushing touchdowns in a single postseason for the second time in his career.
The only other quarterback in NFL history to have at least 10 or more passing and rushing touchdowns in a single postseason is none other than Tom Brady, who accomplished the feat in 2014 and 2020.
Mahomes last did it in 2019 when the Chiefs went on to win Super Bowl LIV.
The Chiefs quarterback will be hoping to get back to the Super Bowl again on Sunday as he needs to win six more to catch Brady in that department.
