The best NBA on TNT segment of the season may have come from the TBS baseball crew.
The TBS baseball team of Pedro Martinez, Curtis Granderson and Jimmy Rollins stopped by the NBA on TNT set during halftime of the Warriors-Grizzlies game on Tuesday night to help breakdown the game on the studio’s mini basketball court.
Kenny Smith began using the ballplayers as props, with Pedro manning the point (as Jordan Poole) and instructing Granderson (Klay Thompson) to set a pick on Shaq to allow Rollins (Steph Curry) to come up to the top corner of the left wing.
Granderson rolled off the pick and Martinez, who initially looked to pass the ball to Rollins, found the former outfielder open under the basket, who then made an open layup to send the crew into a frenzy.
Not only was the NBA on TNT crew loving it, but fans on social media could not get enough of the crossover segment.
It also was a bit eye-opening to see someone like Rollins and Pedro next to Shaq.
