Players call out MLB owners for refusing to counter proposal as lockout continues

MLB owners requested a mediator for their negotiations with the Players Association after declining to make a counter to the players’ most recent proposal, putting the start of the 2022 season, at the very least the start of spring training, very much in jeopardy.

The Players Association announced Friday afternoon that it declined the request for mediation, something both sides would need to agree to. Along with that announcement came input from several players across the league, bashing the owners for halting negotiations with spring training just weeks away.
