With the Bay Area baseball season long since over and the local football teams mired in mediocrity, it was a welcome sight to see the Golden State Warriors return to the floor.
Oh, and with it being ring night with and another banner dropping from the rafters and championship rings descending from the sky (no joke), there was nothing but smiles at Oracle Arena in what was the last season-opener in the buildings' history.
We'll have all season to reminisce about our favorite moments at Oracle, but for tonight, it was about the Warriors' beginning their quest to three-peat.
It wasn't the prettiest affair as the Warriors coughed up a 14-point (53-39) second quarter lead, but with Andre Iguodala exiting the game with left calf tightness, the Warriors won't complain about a grinding 108-1000 victory.
Here's Steph Curry on the win:
Still, Durant likes where the Warriors are at.
