The Las Vegas Raiders, along with the New York Jets, are the teams to watch in pursuit of Aaron Rodgers should he move on from the Green Bay Packers.
Yet, with Rodgers’ future uncertain, the Raiders do have some contingency options that they could pursue if they are unable to land Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo’s name keeps popping up.

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, many at the NFL Combine last week in Indianapolis expect the Raiders to pursue Garoppolo, a free agent, as the backup plan to Rodgers.
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler are both familiar with Garoppolo from their time together with the New England Patriots.
Those New England ties also extend beyond Garoppolo.
Per Graziano, there is also “some chatter” that the Raiders could try to pry Mac Jones from the Patriots. However, the Patriots do not appear likely that they would move Jones, whom they drafted with their first-round pick in 2021.
