Report: Twins Showing Interest In David Ross

(670 The Score) The Twins are interested in interviewing former Cubs catcher David Ross for their managerial vacancy, the Star Tribune reported.

Having retired after the 2016 season following a 15-year playing career, Ross has worked as a television analyst for the last two seasons while also serving as a special assistant in the Cubs front office. He played in Chicago for two seasons, helping the Cubs win the World Series in 2016.

The Twins fired Paul Molitor as manager last week after a 78-84 campaign. His firing came one season after he was named the American League Manager of the Year.

The Twins have already interviewed hitting coach James Rowson, the Star Tribune reported, and they're also interested in interviewing Mark DeRosa, who played for the Cubs in 2007 and 2008 amid a 16-year playing career.
