Roger Clemens' son gets the call to the big leagues

Exactly 13,894 days after Roger Clemens made is big-league debut, his son is getting his big chance.

The Detroit Tigers announced Monday morning that they were promoting Kody Clemens - the youngest son of the seven-time Cy Young Award winner - to their major league roster.

The 26-year-old Clemens, who was the 79th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, was hitting .283 with an .843 OPS and nine home runs for Triple-A Toledo.

Kody's brother, Koby, is currently a coach in the Houston Astros' system. Another sibling, Kacy, is playing for Independent League Staten Island, having been drafted in the eighth round by the Blue Jays in 2017.
