Romo says a 'very high up' New England source thinks the league will figure out Jimmy G

The always-entertaining Bill Romanowski stopped by "The Greg Papa Show" with Bonta Hill on Tuesday and was in midseason form.

Romo had good things to say about Jimmy Garoppolo but then he quickly passed along an intriguing nugget.


"I feel like they've been handed one of the biggest gifts of all time with Garoppolo…"

"But I will say this, I had a really interesting talk with someone very high up with New England (who) said, 'Let's wait till Game 6 to 8 this year and let's see if Jimmy is still kicking butt.'"

"So, interesting. I had a real interesting conversation. Someone that is in the know with New England…"

"Very high up…

So, the source thinks Garoppolo will have trouble staying healthy or he thinks the league will catch on to the QB?

"He thinks that defensive coordinators will have him figured out," Romo said. "He feels like he had a little bit of a grace period last year where the defensive coordinators didn't have him figured out yet."
