Russell Westbrook is just from another planet.

The Washington Wizards star posted his 178th triple-double in Monday’s 154-141 win over the Indiana Pacers, recording an astounding 14 points, 21 rebounds and 24 assists.

It is the second time in Westbrook’s career he has posted a 10-20-20 games and it is the first time someone has done that twice in NBA history.

The only other player to accomplish that feat once was which was Wilt Chamberlain, when he scored 22 points and had 25 rebounds and 21 assists in 1948.

Westbrook also now trails Oscar Robertson’s NBA record of 181 career triple-doubles by three.

Westbrook is now averaging 21.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 11.2 assists on the season and, with seven games remaining, assures himself that he will finish the season with a triple-double average for the fourth time in his career.

Westbrook’s play has also helped the Wizards overcome an awful start to the season, going 27-23 since owning the league’s worst record on Jan. 30 and enter Tuesday in 10th place in the Eastern Conference — which would clinch a chance to compete in the play-in tournament.
