According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the New Orleans Saints quarterback plans to play Sunday’s Week 2 matchup despite having four fractures in his back (L1 down to L4).

Winston, who was limited in practice on Wednesday due to what he said was “soreness,” plans to wear extra padding to help protect him as the Saints take on their NFC South rival at the Caesars Superdome.
The Saints are already without running back Alvin Kamara due to a rib injury and it will be interesting to see how Winston’s status will impact the offensive game for New Orleans.
