Happy, Pats fans? Was that “uncharacteristically aggressive” enough for you? Still think Bill Belichick is cheap, or is “taking you for granted?" From what we saw Monday on social media, the answer is yes, Yes and HELL NO.
It was a wild day, maybe the wildest offseason day in Patriots history. The day Pats fans had been hearing about, and waiting for, for a long, long time. And from what we saw fans seemed to enjoy it thoroughly.
The Pats finished with a losing record in 2020, missed the playoffs, and a general feeling of dissatisfaction lingered from front office to fanbase. You knew Belichick wasn’t happy, and fans got creative expressing that suspicion.

We kept hearing he was going to spend, Well, noon o’clock came on the Ides of March, the start of legal tampering, and that’s when the free agency, and meme, frenzy began!
With the record-setting way the Patriots were handing out contracts obviously Belichick bucking his spendthrift reputation became a common theme quickly.

The Patriots were practically building a new roster altogether, in the process signing some players that might have been off a few analyst radars. Cue the draft expert pic.
Fun Fact: the first four free agents the Patriots signed Monday are all represented by super agent Drew Rosenhaus, thus this bawdy and topical gem.

Obviously this out of character behavior would shock some - can’t please all of the people all of the time - and not everyone would approve of the approach...
...or the price paid for some players.
But you know it’s a weird and wild day when you see Eagles fans defending players now employed by the Patriots.
What’s even crazier than Monday was that Tuesday got started off just as wildly with the signing of the other best free agent tight end, Hunter Henry!

In jaw-dropping fashion the Patriots have spent feverishly and undertaken the most drastic roster overhaul in team history. The fans seem happy, and you know who else is?
But, with all these new pass catchers in the fold what if Cam isn’t the plan after all?
Only time will tell. And all we keep hearing locally and nationally is...
