Tim Tebow prop bets open for receiving yards, touchdowns

See the props listed for Tebow’s comeback with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Tim Tebow is almost back in the NFL, baby, and oddsmakers are ready to roll on his odds. A few prop bets for how Tebow will do in his potential first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars are out, and the new tight end will hopefully aim to surpass expectations.

DraftKings Sportsbook released props on the former quarterback’s regular season total receiving yards and whether or not he will score a touchdown. For the regular season total receiving yards, the Over/Under opened at 12.5 (-112). As for touchdowns, the number currently sits at Over/Under .5, with the Over at +350 and Under 0.5 at -500.

There is also a prop bet out on Tebow to score the Jaguars' first touchdown of the season, which opened at +1200.

Tebow is reportedly expected to sign with the Jaguars as a tight end, though no deal is done yet.

The last time the 33-year-old Heisman Trophy winner was on an NFL roster was in 2015. The last time he actually made an appearance in an NFL regular season game was in 2012.

Tebow was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He spent two seasons in Denver, starting in 14 games with a total of 17 touchdowns. He played in 12 games for the New York Jets in 2012, starting in only two of them. Tebow then spent time on the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles rosters and trickled out of football.

Next, he tried his hand at professional baseball, because why not? He played in the New York Mets system from 2016-2020 before realizing baseball probably wasn't for him. He announced his retirement from that sport in February.

A deal with the Jaguars in his return to the NFL would reunite Tebow with his former Florida head coach, Urban Meyer. Meyer became the Jacksonville coach in January of this year.

The Jaguars finished last season 1-15 under Doug Marrone. It will be interesting to see if the Meyer-Tebow dynamic duo will join forces to redeem the team this season.
