Trade winds on McCoy to the Eagles begin to pick up

The moment the Philadelphia Eagles lost starting running back Jay Ajayi for the season to a torn ACL, many turned their attention to a potential Le'Veon Bell trade to the defending Super Bowl Champions. According to multiple reports, the Eagles have no plans on pursuing a trade for Bell. Other reports have said Bell has no interest in being traded from the Steelers. That doesn't appear like a realistic idea. How about a reunion between the Eagles and LeSean McCoy?

What about for the Bills? How much sense does it make to ship away your most accomplished and dynamic offense weapon, in an offense that is severely lacking players that can make someone miss in the open field. How much sense does it make to trade your starting running back on a team that is trying to protect their rookie starting running back from being thrust into the fire. One Eagles radio host believes the Bills at least are entertaining the idea, because they have a price in mind.

McCoy is also a 30-year old running back that has a $9 million cap hit for next season. With the draft and running backs like Le'Veon Bell, Tevin Coleman, and Mark Ingram ready to hit free agency, it's not like the Bills wouldn't have an opportunity to get a star running back in the future. Not to mention other teams often find solid production from backs out of nowhere. Undrafted rookie free agent Philip Lindsay has taken over as the Broncos starting running back and leads NFL rookie's in rushing. No one had heard of him a month ago.

In my personal opinion, it'd be nice to get a young running back in a deal with the Eagles. They have two in Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood that have looked pretty good early in their career's. Clement is 23-years old and Smallwood is 24. Marcus Murphy is currently the Bills youngest running back at age 27. In fact Murphy is the Bills only running back under the age of 30. By far the oldest running back core in the NFL.
