The year is 2022 and Johnny Manziel is connecting with Terrell Owens for touchdown passes.

The former NFL stars — one a bust and the other a Hall of Famer — were on the field together on Saturday for the Zappers of the Fan Controlled Football League, in which Manziel found Owens in the end zone for the team’s only score in a 44-5 loss.

Manziel, who is in his second season of the 7-on-7 league that allows fans to cal in offensive plays, said that he was impressed by Owens’ physical shape at age 48.

“He looks exactly the same as he does five, 15 years ago,” Manziel said, per The AP. “The guy’s a legend.”

Manziel and Owens were also mic’d up and seen developing some chemistry on the sidelines.

The 29-year-old Manziel lasted just two seasons in the NFL as quarterback of the Cleveland Browns and has been marred by off-the-field controversy, but he sounded as if he has done some maturing.

“I’m very grateful for where I’m at in my life right now,” Manziel said. “And I. can look back and say I’m at peace completely with all of my football career. For me, it was fun. I got to live an amazing journey in the game of football. It introduced me to a numerous amount of people all over the world. So, I’m thankful for my ride and continue to try and be involved in the game in some way, shape or form.”
