Mavericks players were predictably in good spirits after advancing to the conference finals by scoring a blowout win over the Suns in a decisive Game 7 on Sunday.

Some even wanted to rub it in a little.

In a video posted on social media by the Mavericks, at least a couple players reference Phoenix's infamous rally cry.

"Suns in four! Suns in four!" jokes Theo Pinson on his way to the locker room.

"Mavs in seven!" Tim Hardaway Jr. says later.

The phrase went viral after a Suns fan used it during a decidedly one-sided altercation with a Nuggets fan during last year's playoffs.

This year, Suns fans were chanting it at times throughout the Mavericks series.

Their prediction looked to be correct after the Suns seized an early 2-0 series lead.

But the Mavs, to the surprise of some, rallied to tie it at 2-2, then fell behind again when the Suns took Game 5.

But Dallas won the final two games, both blowouts, with the clincher coming on the road.

After the final whistle, there was a brief scuffle involving the Mavs' Boban Marjanovic and Elfrid Payton of Phoenix, further underlining some of the hard feelings developed over the long series.

The Mavericks, the fourth seed in the West, move on to face the third-seeded Golden State Warriors in the conference finals.
