After circling the drain during his turbulent final season in Philadelphia, Carson Wentz seems to be enjoying his change of scenery in Indianapolis. It doesn’t appear much football was being played Monday at Colts OTAs, but things still got pretty competitive between Wentz and teammate Mo Alie-Cox, trading blows in a spirited game of knockout observed by what looked to be Indy’s entire roster.

No strangers to the hardwood, Wentz won a basketball state title his senior year of high school while Alie-Cox starred as a power forward under Shaka Smart at Virginia Commonwealth before joining the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2017. Playing on a portable hoop, the two combatants went back and forth for over a minute until Alie-Cox, who remarkably attempted just one three-pointer in his four years at VCU (he made it, by the way), finally put Wentz out of his misery with a long-range dagger to win.

With so much drama and ego in the NFL these days, it’s refreshing to see a couple grown men play knockout like their life depends on it … as long as no one gets hurt.
