Williams: 'We went in [to Sunday] knowing we had to be our best'

Buffalo Bills' defensive tackle Kyle Williams joined Schopp & the Bulldog Wednesday afternoon for his first visit following a Bills victory (!!) this fall.  What a Sunday it was; Buffalo turned major tides and effectively flipped the state of Minnesota on its side with their 27-6 underdog victory.  Williams touches on that, among much more in his conversation with the guys.

Here is some of the best from his time on WGR 550.

Williams on the camaraderie:

"We've got a strong group of guys in the locker room.  Things that we think will correct themselves, will."

Williams on the gameplan against Kirk Cousins and the Vikings:

"When we looked at the film, we saw that if we could win the early downs and get them to, say, 3rd-and-5 or more, there were things we could take some advantage of."

Williams on matchups:

"When you get your 1-on-1 matchups, that's when you have to deliver.  Some games, a guy like me or Jerry [Hughes] may only get 10, five or two chances.  We don't decide who gets the sacks."

Williams on his favorite sacks in his career:

"Any on [Tom] Brady.  I had a bet years ago with Jairus Byrd that if I got to 10 [sacks], I would do the "Ric Flair" dance."

Williams on the big picture from Sunday:

"The main thing is that you're going to play a team that was looked at as a Super Bowl-contending team.  A top defense, a high-end quarterback; we went in knowing we had to be our best."

Williams on Josh Allen's hurdle:

"I saw it from the sidelines.  You're watching it, going, 'oh my god!', and then he got to the sideline and you have to tell him to never do that again.  [Even with that being said] that kind of effort resonates with everyone.  Guys see that type of effort and feed of it."

Williams on Aaron Rodgers and Lambeau Field:

"It's special.  It's a fun experience.  We've got a big week in front of us.  That guy [Aaron] Rodgers is one of the best to ever do it."
