SpongeBob isn’t the only one who lives in a pineapple.
But while the Nickelodeon character lives under the sea, you’ll be living over the sea -- about 80 feet above sea level in Seal Beach, California that is.
Vrbo and Paramount Home Entertainment teamed up to transform the historic Water Tower into a real-life version of SpongeBob’s iconic home to celebrate the release of the new film “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.”
The rental includes themed rooms that draw inspiration from the sea sponge’s underwater digs in Bikini Bottom.
Guests looking for some nautical nonsense enter the several-room vacation home through a pineapple-shaped entrance.
In the living room, you’ll find SpongeBob’s famous red couch.
The kitchen has transformed into “The Krusty Krab,” where SpongeBob can often be found flipping Krabby Patties.
And you can’t miss the portrait gallery spotlighting your favorite characters and the most important people in SpongeBob’s life like his pet snail, Gary.
But the best part is that the rental overlooks the beach with panoramic views views of Southern California.
“Families can book cabins, condos, castles, treehouses and train cars on Vrbo, but this is the first time we’ve had a gigantic pineapple on our platform,” Lish Kennedy, VP of global brand marketing at Vrbo, said in a press release. “We’re glad people can tour the Pineapple Over the Sea virtually and enjoy the new movie at home together.”
