PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Happy Thanksgiving, Philly!

Whether you’re trying to avoid cooking at home or looking to send some holiday cheer to others, we’ve got plenty of things for you to do this weekend, in addition to the many holiday spectacles officially kicking off the season.

OPEN ON THANKSGIVING

Urban Farmer, 1850 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Center City

OPEN: Brunch from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; dinner from 4 to 8:30 p.m.

DETAILS: A la carte brunch includes everything from frittatas to shrimp and grits. For $95 per adult and $45 per child, the multi-course dinner menu has classics with a twist like a honey-roasted turkey, cornbread turkey stuffing, and cauliflower and roasted garlic soup.

Fork, 306 Market St., Old City

OPEN: 1 to 8 p.m.

DETAILS: Fork’s multi-course dinner for $95 a person includes a whole Pennsylvania trout, mashed potatoes with shaved truffles, and high street pies. For an extra fee, you can get oysters, a charcuterie board or a dry-aged 32-ounce ribeye steak.

The Twisted Tail, 509. S. Second St., Head House Square

OPEN: 12 to 10 p.m.

DETAILS: Enjoy classics at The Twisted Tail’s Thanksgiving dinner, like a roasted Lancaster turkey, pineapple glazed ham, mac and cheese, and more. Individual dinners start at $55, and it’s $25 for kids under 10.

Bank & Bourbon, 1200 Market St., Center City

OPEN: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

DETAILS: Bank & Bourbon is offering an array of dinner options, including an herb-roasted prime rib, whole-roasted verlasso salmon and more at $80 per adult and $25 per kid. The dessert menu has everything from whoopie pies to a pear-caramel parfait.

Chima Steakhouse, 1901 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Center City

OPEN: 12 to 8 p.m.

DETAILS: Thanksgiving traditional foods like green bean casserole, roasted turkey and gravy, ad sweet mashed potatoes make up Chima Steakhouse’s dinner. It’s $61.95 per adult to dine and half off for kids.

EVENT: Everybody Eats Thanksgiving Giveback

DATE/TIME: Thanksgiving Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1030 S. Fifth St., Camden, New Jersey

EVENT: Operation Turkey

DATE/TIME: Thanksgiving Day, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: The Common Place, 5736 Chester Ave., West Philadelphia

DETAILS: Join Operation Turkey on Thanksgiving Day to cook, clean, deliver, package or plate meals to those in need. There are also opportunities to be a driver and deliver meals and clothing.

EVENT: Luminature

DATE: Through Jan. 9

WHERE: Philadelphia Zoo, 3400 W. Girard Ave., West Philadelphia

DETAILS: Who said the zoo doesn’t come alive at night? This year’s Luminature is bigger than ever. There will be 14 different illuminated zones with more than 1 million lights in total.

PRICE: $25 for adults and $20 for kids

EVENT: Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade

DATE: Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to noon

WHERE: Route goes throughout Center City

DETAILS: In its 100th year, Philly’s celebration is the longest running Thanksgiving Day Parade in the county. There will be 23 marching bands, 30 performances and plenty of different floats and balloons.

PRICE: Free to attend

EVENT: Christmas Village and Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market

DATE/TIME: Thursday through Dec. 24

WHERE: LOVE Park and City Hall, Center City

DETAILS: Whether you’re looking for a gift for that special someone or just want to check out some German-style beers, this Christmas market has a little something for everyone. There are also plenty of activities for kids, including a train, Ferris wheel and carousel.

EVENT: Thanksgiving Weekend at the Museum

DATE: Friday through Sunday

WHERE: Museum of the American Revolution, 101 S. Third St., Old City

DETAILS: Learn something new over the holiday weekend with a special exhibit, “Liberty: Don Troiani’s Paintings of the Revolutionary War.” There will also be an ornament-making activity where you use historic basket twists as well as plenty of holiday shopping gift ideas.

PRICE: Adults are $19; youth age 6 to 17 are $13

EVENT: Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm

DATE: Select dates through Jan. 30

WHERE: Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

DETAILS: Gaze upon the more than 3 million lights illuminating whimsical displays at Shady Brook Farm with this drive-thru experience. You can use your own car to drive through and, weather permitting, there will also be wagon rides through the light show.

PRICE: Tickets start at $40 per vehicle
