Duck Derby

Let’s have a quack ton of fun. The third annual Margate Duck Derby is happening this Sunday, August 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ray Scott’s Dock in Margate. Participants can buy raffle tickets for $5 and pick a rubber duck to cheer on as it floats down a closed course. There will also be duck-themed games, cash prizes, dance competitions, live music and so much more.
Boys and Girls Fishing Tournament

Hooks at the ready, who doesn’t love some friendly competition? Ocean City’s 46th annual Boys and Girls Fishing Tournament reels in children ages 8 to 16. The event is happening this Saturday, August 12 at 9 a.m. at the north-end beach near the Ocean City-Longport bridge in Ocean City. There will be prizes for all participants including those who catch the biggest fish and those that catch the most.
Ocean City Baby Parade

What’s 113 years old, but still a baby? The Ocean City Baby Parade of course! The event starts Thursday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. at 6 Street on the Ocean City boardwalk. It’s not too late to participate, you can register all children under ten years old online for $5 per child. And did we mention there will be prizes for best dressed?
Wildwood Tattoo Beach Bash

Let’s get tatted! Rebel Image Tattoo and Villain Arts presents a tattoo and expo show at the Wildwood Convention Center at 4501 Boardwalk. The event goes from Friday, August 11 through Sunday, August 13 with varying show times. The weekend will be full of more than 200 national tattoo artists. There will be live tattooing, performances, art exhibits, contests and so much more. Tickets are $20 a day, or $40 for the three days and can be purchased online or at the door.
Heritage Weekend

Tune into a weekend of musical hits that were centuries in the making. Heritage Music Weekend at Historic Cold Spring Village in Cape May starts Saturday, August 12 through Sunday, August 13 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. There will be music from the 18th century, 80s and 90s classics, Irish music and more at the Welcome Center at 735 Seashore Rd. General admission tickets are $14.
Acoustic Mic Night

Is this thing on? Sing your heart out at the Acoustic Mic Night at Excursion Park at 2 41 Street in Sea Isle. The event goes from 9 to 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 10. It’s free for children and young adults age 14 to 20 where they can sing karaoke, and play cornhole and volleyball. Gift cards will be given to the best performers and conrhole players.
Broadway Meets the Beach
Sing the night away with top Broadway talents at Broadway Meets the Beach. The event starts on Friday, August 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Avenue Stage in Seaside Heights. There will be guests from musicals like Les Miserables, Aladdin, Mamma Mia and so much more! There will be tons of prizes and a chance to win broadway show tickets! And the best part, it’s all free.
