Celebrate 22 years of the Art of Surfing. The family event goes from Thursday, Aug. 3 through Saturday, Aug. 5 at Ocean City Music Pier on 825 Boardwalk, Ocean City. The free event features original art from surfing's biggest names, live music and a chance to meet artists from across the country.

If you just missed Stevie Nicks Philly show, don't you worry, we have the next best thing. This week's Concert Under the Stars features Gypsy. Their lead singer Rikki Lee Wilson's spot on vocals and and striking likeness to Nicks' gives you a performance only second to the real thing. Cheer on your favorite beach patrol at the Margate World War II Memorial Lifeguard Races. It's one of the few events where you can see a generation of beach patrols from Brigantine to Cape May all in one place. The race includes a one mile doubles row, a half mile swim, and a 1,000 foot singles row. The free event starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4 at Decatur Avenue in Margate.

Dust off your best ideas, the Ocean City Sand Sculpting contest is on. It's open to teens, kids, adults and families. Registration is free the day of on Thursday, August 3 at 9 a.m. on 6th Street Beach in Ocean City. Judging starts at 11.

There's a different theme every week, but each Friday consists of balloon art, face painting, DJs, trivia and dancing. There's also character shows, trivia and prizes to win, so what are you waiting for? The free event starts this Friday, Aug. 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Surfside Park, 2901 Avalon Ave., Avalon.
