
Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Police declared an unlawful assembly last night, during a protest that caused damage in the city. Richmond Police say protests set a city dump truck on fire during the protests. The dump truck had been located near RPD headquarters as a barricade.
The Richmond Times Dispatch reports a nearby Chiptole also caught fire. The unlawful assembly was declared around 11pm. The RTD says flash devices and chemical agents were used to disperse the crowd.
Word of the protest had been circulating on social media for days.
