Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney has sent a letter to Governor Ralph Northam, asking for a partial move to Phase 1 at the end of the week. Richmond, along with Northern Virginia and Accomack County, remain closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Stoney says the metrics continue to show an upward trend. He wants restrictions on indoor worship services, and on salons and barbershops, to remain. Stoney says any reopening needs to be sustainable.
Northam delayed those localities' reopening to May 29th at the earliest.
