
Petersburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Petersburg Police are investigating, along with State Police, an officer-involved shooting involving Prince George Police.
State Police say the incident began with the abduction of two people in Sussex County. The car the three were in was then tracked down to Petersburg. The shooting happened at a Wawa along Crater Road in Petersburg, where officers caught up with the suspect.
State Police say a Prince George offier shot the suspect during a confrontation, and then, the suspect ran to a nearby apartment complex. The person, according to police, was then arrested, and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two victims, a 17-year old and a 25-year old, were not injured. There were no offier injuries.
State Police are the lead agency on the investigation.
