Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Commonwealth's Attorney Colette McEachin says she is changing her policy regarding use of force or abuse of authority cases with Richmond Police.  Starting now, McEachin says her office will be releasing names of officers whose cases result in indictments.  Currently the names are public record, but not publicized.

McEachin says there have been 53 cases referred to the office since 2016.  Four made it to a grand jury, and one is actually going to trial next month.  McEachin would not speak about that case.

The change comes after almost two months of protests over police brutality.
