(RICHMOND, Va.) -- Six people have been arrested for Unlawful Assembly during a protest at the J.E.B. Stuart monument Sunday night.
Police declared an unlawful assembly as proresters threw objects at officers and tied a rope to the statue in an apparent attempt to pull it down. An action that would have put many people at risk of being hit.
One Richmond police officer was injured when he was struck in the arm by a thrown brick. He was treated at the scene.
