Stoney Recommends Staying Home This Halloween

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney says he is planning to spend this Halloween at home, and he is recommending Richmonders do so as well.  Stoney speaking out at his Covid briefing, saying he doesn't want the day to become a day where Covid is spread.

Stoney says the Department of Health has put out guidelines for celebrating Halloween safely.  He says if people do go out they should wear masks and stay socially disyant.  They should also avoid parties.

The Mayor praised several neighborhood associations which cancelled their annual events this year.
