Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Ralph Northam announced Tuesday that Virginia will enter Phase Three of coronavirus reopening on July 1st. Northam says the entire Commonwealth will move to the new phase, unles Richmond or Northern Virginia request otherwise.
Under Phase Three, caps on restuarants will be lifted, although they will still need to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Entertainment businesses can open at 50% capacity. Gatherings will also be allowed to have 250 people. Religious services will need to adhere to distancing guidelines.
Northam says if the health metrics backtrack, it is possible restrictions could tighten. However, Northam also says we have good hospital capacity to counter that concern.
