According to a Politico article published Tuesday evening, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) "mischaracterized" a text exchange between Rudy Giuliani and his former business associate, Lev Parnas.
Politico reports that Schiff "appears to have mischaracterized a text message exchange" between "two players in the Ukraine saga." Schiff claimed in a letter sent to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) that Parnas had continually tried to set up a meeting with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He cited a text exchange between Giuliani and Parnas referencing "Mr. Z" as evidence.
However, the unredacted copy of the exchange shows that Parnas was referring to Mykola Zlochevsky, co-founder of Burisma, not Zelensky.
