Attorney General William Barr announced Monday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will file lawsuits against politicians in the sanctuary state of New Jersey and the sanctuary county of King County, Washington.
Barr was delivering remarks at the National Sheriffs’ Association Winter Legislative and Technology Conference when he announced the DOJ would be filing suits against the State of New Jersey and King County, Washington for their policies which shield illegal immigrants from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Barr called the policies "neither lawful nor sensible."
