A recent report from the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe (OIDACE) shows that anti-Christian attacks in Europe have risen 285 percent between 2008 and 2019.
OIDACE Director Ellen Fantini told the Catholic News Agency (CNA) that the incidents have been particularly prevalent in France, such as the recent attack on the Nantes Cathedral.
Fantini also noted that anti-Christian attacks doubled in the United Kingdom from 2017-2018, citing data from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). She added that "we know they are rising in Spain, Germany, and Sweden, as well."
