Protests and fallout continued in Atlanta on Wednesday following Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announcing that former Atlanta Police Officer Garrett Rolfe, who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks in an altercation Friday night, will face 11 charges, including felony murder.
Vince Champion, southeast regional director of the International Brotherhood of Police officers and head of the Atlanta police union, told Atlanta's Fox 5 that the case has resulted in crushing the morale of the Atlanta Police Department, echoing what Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms told CNN earlier on Wednesday.
"It's the worst day in law enforcement in the city of Atlanta that’s ever been," Champion said.
