A video surfaced on social media Friday night of an angry mob attacking a Baltimore police officer trying to do his job.
The video shows the mob surrounding the officer who was attempting to make an arrest. Some of the people then begin punching and kicking the officer while others attempt to free the man he was arresting. Thankfully, the officer was not injured.
According to The Blaze, the result has been a back and forth between police and city officials. President of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3 Sgt. Mike Mancuso released a statement calling out Baltimore leadership and pointing out crime that is "out of control."
City state's attorney Marilyn Mosby responded by criticizing the police union for "fanning the very flames they then call on me to put out."
