Rapper Cardi B defended the protestors who vandalized and looted stores in Minneapolis on Wednesday night, saying they were left with "no choice" but to riot and steal in response to the death of George Floyd.

Shocking videos have been shared across social media of protesters rioting, looting stores and even setting fire to businesses in the city over the death of Floyd, who was killed in police custody after an officer pressed his knee into his neck and refused to let up, even when Floyd told him he couldn't breathe. Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, shared a video on her Twitter account on Wednesday with the caption, "They looting in Minnesota and as much as I don't like this type of violence it is what it is. Too much peaceful marches, too much trending hashtags, and NO SOLUTIONS! The people are left with NO CHOICE."
