The same reporters who bash our own president and attack our government for its response to the coronavirus heap praise upon the communist Chinese government responsible for the spread of the disease.
On Tuesday, the "CBS Evening News" and "NBC Nightly News" celebrated the end of the lockdown in China's Wuhan province, where the virus originated. NBC News chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel even defended the PRC and claimed there were only "accusations" they were "fudging" the data on coronavirus cases.
While speaking to a Wuhan resident, Engel completely glossed over her informing her that the "authorities closely track residents using an app," and then parroted the Chinese government's claims that they have had no new virus deaths: "Although, there are accusations China has been fudging the numbers, it reported for the first time no new virus deaths."
