A Seattle woman who contracted a mild case of coronavirus in February is encouraging people not to panic.
Per Agence France-Presse, 37-year-old Elizabeth Schneider felt ill a few days after attending a party in late February, but she thought it was just fatigue. However, when her symptoms started to become worse (headache, fever, aches, chills) she became concerned. Her temperature reached 103 degrees and she began to "shiver uncontrollably."
She went to the store to get some flu medicine and called a friend to make her aware, and after a few more days, her fever broke and she started feeling better.
Realizing she didn't experience the most common symptoms, Schneider enrolled in a research program and tested positive for COVID-19. Now, she has a message for anyone who thinks they may have or get it.
"The message is don't panic. If you think that you have it, you probably do; you should probably get tested," she said.
