On Wednesday night, CNN hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo put on a moronic display during the handoff between their shows as their attempt to mock President Trump for doing well on a mental acuity test fell flat on its face when they couldn't even identify an animal on the test.
Lemon began by reciting the words, "Person, woman, man, camera, TV. Can you remember that," to Cuomo, who appeared visibly confused.
When Cuomo asked him the meaning of the words, Lemon acknowledged that President Trump had boasted about doing well on the test in an interview with Fox News and then, of course, casted doubt on that claim by suggesting the president was lying.
Cuomo then mused that the test "looks like something for middle school," after which Lemon struggled to explain that President Trump had taken the test because people were concerned about a decline in his mental health.
"Well, you take that when – Usually – Listen, I'm not a doctor and I'm going to let Dr. Reiner explain it in a little bit. But usually when there's some issue or some concern about, you know, your cognitive ability," Lemon said.
"You're like burying the lede here," Cuomo quipped.
Shortly after, Cuomo noted that he himself had been in a mental "fog" of late that has caused him to forget certain words. He then asked, "What are the animal shapes?"
What followed was a showcase of stupidity as Lemon and Cuomo both failed miserably at identifying the animals on the test:
