Chris Cuomo seems to have a very short memory when it comes to his own reporting.
On Monday's edition of "Cuomo PrimeTime," the CNN host blasted people who have cited intelligence and news reports that the coronavirus may have originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, even though he himself reported that very thing last month.
Cuomo began by claiming that the only reason President Trump blames China for the virus is because "his puppy-dog-puppets and his cronies came after China." He then played an April 14 clip from Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight," in which host Tucker Carlson and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) both decried U.S. taxpayer dollars being sent to the Wuhan Institute and funding research there.
Cuomo followed that up by saying in a mocking voice, "China bad, China scary, China make virus to kill us." However, neither Carlson nor Gaetz said that China made the virus. And, as it turns out, Cuomo and his gang at CNN deceptively edited the clip he played:
While he bashed Trump and his "cronies" for apparently selling Americans a false bill of goods on the origin of the virus, Fredo seemed to forget that on April 15, he reported the same story as "breaking news":
Moral of the story: its news when Cuomo and the "real" reporters report it, but its propaganda when it comes from Trump or anyone on the right.
