It seems the angry mob has taken over Columbus, Ohio.

Drivers in downtown Columbus called 911 last week reporting that protesters were threatening and surrounding them, WSYX-TV.

The outlet played audio of one call where a terrified woman told a dispatcher that protesters were "laying" on her car. A male caller said "I'm being threatened. I want the police here now. They're surrounding my car. They're blocking traffic. The police need to protect me."

Another male caller told 911 that protesters were "popping wheelies" on motorcycles in what looked nothing like a protest.

The dispatcher who took the latter's call, however, told the man that Mayor Andrew Ginther (D) gave law enforcement strict instructions not to intervene.

"We were told by our mayor to stand down, so the mayor has given them full range of the street," the dispatcher is heard saying.

"You've got to be kidding me," the man replied.
