Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) bashed residents who have been defying her coronavirus lockdown orders, calling them "not optional."
During a Monday press conference, Whitmer was asked about businesses and and Michigan residents pushing back on her authority to enforce state-wide lockdowns.
After noting that people are in a "frustrating" situation, she said, "I expect people to follow the law."
She added, "These executive orders are not a suggestion. They’re not optional. They’re not helpful hints."
