A police officer in Miami, Florida was suspended with pay after arguing to the Miami City Commission last week that he identified as a black male, depsite his white complexion.
According to The American Mirror, Captain Javier Ortiz was under scrutiny for identifying as a black man on lieutenant and captain exams, and went before the commission last Friday to defend his case. Ortiz's original Miami Police Department application says he is a white Hispanic.
