Ringleader of the "real" reporters Jim Acosta shared his angst over President Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night, particularly the president awarding legendary radio host Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Acosta was quick to trash the speech as a whole, dismissing it as nothing more than a Trump campaign rally to fire up his base. Acosta said, "I think this was a state of the base speech, not a State of the Union speech. The state of the Trump base is strong. The State of the Union is deeply divided."
He then proceeded to attack Limbaugh receiving the award, claiming he has a "history" of making racist remarks.
Acosta said, "And while, yes, he was trying to make appeal to the African-American community it can't be forgotten he was awarding the Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh who has a history of making derogatory comments about African-Americans."
