Former Vice President Joe Biden offered yet another cringe-worthy moment as he jokingly called a female voter a "lying, dog-faced pony soldier" after she asked him a difficult question about how electable he is as a candidate.
Biden made the remark during a town hall on Sunday in Hampton, New Hampshire when asked what he called a "mean" question by a female economics student.
The student asked, "So you’re arguably the candidate with the greatest advantage in this race ... how do you explain your performance in Iowa, and why should voters believe that you can win a national election?"
Biden quickly dismissed the results of the Iowa caucus, where he came in fourth, before asking the young woman if she had ever attended a caucus.
When she said she had, Biden snapped back, "No, you haven’t. You’re a lying, dog-faced pony soldier."
He continued, "You’ve got to be honest; I’m going to be honest with you. It was a little bit confusing in Iowa, but let’s assume everything was exactly right … (the results do not) necessarily say how you’re going to win Pennsylvania, how you’re going to win Michigan."
